AI-powered martech releases and news: March 14 – MarTech

A recent survey finding about AI use reminded me of a joke by the brilliant satirist Tom Lehrer:

“I know some people feel that marriage as an institution is dying out, but I disagree and the point was driven home to me rather forcefully not long ago by a letter I received which said: ‘Darling, I love you and I cannot live without you. Marry me, or I will kill myself.’ Well, I was a little disturbed at that until I took another look at the envelope and saw that it was addressed to Occupant.”

The finding: Nearly a quarter of a billion people are using AI girlfriend and boyfriend apps on Android phones alone. The study of “the virtual companionship and dating sector” by SplitMetrics also revealed that AI girlfriends are seven times more likely to be downloaded than boyfriends.

I have no idea what the implications of this are, so I hope some enterprising anthropologists get on it fast.

Here are this week’s AI-powered martech releases:

  • xSession AI’s AI Incentive Optimization is a tool for ecommerce retailers that autonomously manages on-site promotions in real-time, aiming to increase promotional yield or revenue without using consumer personal data. It selects the most effective offers from a set to meet commercial goals and can handle multiple goals with constraints.
  • Phrase added Auto LQA and AI Actions to its localization platform. Auto LQA uses AI to automatically assess the quality of localized content, while AI Actions helps users improve translations within the Phrase editor.
  • Getty Images’ Enhanced Search is an AI-driven search function that allows users to find content in their vast library using natural language, improving efficiency and detail without relying on exact keyword matches.
  • GetResponse’s AI Email Writing Assistant is an AI-powered text generator added to their email editor, enabling users to create and optimize email content quickly without switching tools.
  • Chatmeter’s Risk Monitoring helps brands monitor and categorize online reviews and social posts to identify potential crises across various risk categories.
  • Net Atlantic’s AI Suite is three tools — Idea Workshop, Email Writer, and Copy Optimizer — in its ListManager program that enhances email campaign creation and optimization.
