You’ll need them for your armor.
Leather in Palworld — a survival, Pokemon-inspired game where you send “Pals” to battle or help build and maintain your base — plays an important role because you’ll eventually need a stockpile of them to create and repair armor.
Here’s a quick guide on how to farm leather in Palworld early in the game, ensuring you never run out when you need new gear or have to fix used ones.
Use Paldeck to find out which Pals drop leather in Palworld
Depending on your starting location in Palworld, you might encounter different Pals. It’s best to check what’s available around you and determine a good spot to farm.
If you started in the beginner’s zone, the Plateau of Beginnings, here are some tips on how to farm leather in the early game.
Firstly, the most common Pals you will encounter early game that drop leather are:
- Direhowls (these typically roam at night in starting zones)
Early to mid-game zones with lots of leather dropping Pals
Pals that drop leather early in the game usually hang around the Grassy Behemoth Hills, so be sure to check back there often to farm them.
Even if you don’t need leather at the moment, make sure to farm these Pals for leather whenever you run into them, so you can have an ample supply later.
If you are already in mid-game, you can also travel between the Ravine Entrance and the Sealed Realm of the Swordmaster, where you will frequently run into Direhowls.
However, there are also other hostile Pals in the area, along with Syndicates, so make sure your level is high enough to withstand aggression.
