MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (WPTV) – Detectives in Florida arrested a man for allegedly using artificial intelligence to create child pornography.
Investigators say 51-year-old Daniel Clark Warren, of Jensen Beach, took a photo of a young girl who lived in his neighborhood then used AI to remove her clothes and put her in sexual situations.
“It’s pretty scary when you look at this stuff. If you just looked at it briefly, you would think it’s a real photograph,” said Detective Brian Broughton with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
Prosecutors are charging Warren with 14 felony child pornography counts and three felony counts of video voyeurism. He’s in jail on a $1.5 million bond.
Warren, who could also face federal charges, was arrested in January on a tip. Since then, detectives have been working to determine if there are any other related cases.
Experts are warning parents to think about what images of their children they allow on social media as well as stressing the importance of talking to children about online safety.
