Adam Russell, AI/nthropologist and Director of the AI Division at the USC Information Sciences Institute (ISI), is on a journey to help build a better world with AI. He interviews the ISI humans behind AI to understand what motivates them, how they shape AI today, and where they hope AI will go.
Luca Luceri, a research scientist at ISI, shares why he believes working in teams is important to AI advancement. He explains how his work relates to identifying users with malicious intent on social media, and explains what childhood hero he draws from as he looks for clues. He explores why explainability, regulation, and accountability are needed in the AI field moving forward, and how it could impact certain fields if they’re not addressed.
